The Israel Public Policy Institute (IPPI) is looking to hire a highly motivated Strategic Partnerships Manager to support the institute’s work in its Tel Aviv office.


APPLICANT DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for entrepreneurial self-starters with a passion for public policy who know how to get things done. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and creative skills, extreme attention to detail, and outstanding writing and communication skills in both English (native or equivalent) and Hebrew.

Supporting IPPI in creating international partnerships and networks of expertise, applicants should be able to conceptualize innovative projects and develop coherent strategies to expand networks and find the right partners for IPPI. We expect a great attitude, desire to learn and meet new people with lots of energy and enthusiasm to take on any project, large or small, and see it through. The perfect candidate is driven by challenging, fast-moving environments with many stakeholders and a lot of "juggling between tasks".


PRIMARY DUTIES:

Develop new programs, partner networks and strategic partnerships in Israel and abroad;
Develop and implement a partnership strategy to increase the reach and impact of our ongoing efforts to advance IPPI’s work in its focus areas;
Coordinate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and where relevant, leverage those relationships to greater collective impact;
Conceptualize new strategic initiatives that could be built around or benefit from corporate, foundation, government, bilateral organizations or other partnerships;
Expand and diversify the funding base to increase IPPI’s major initiatives and existing collaborations;
Meet and liaise with potential partners and clients;
Development and manage events in support of IPPI’s strategic initiatives;
Develop and manage partner agreements;
Deliver professional presentations to potential partner organizations with the ability to excite and “win over” relevant stakeholders;
Writing grant proposals, LOIs and concept notes in English and Hebrew;
Researching and corresponding with potential partners and supporters;
Conceptualizing new programs and cooperation projects with relevant organizations;
Preparing marketing and promotional materials;
Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, strategic partnerships and management activities;
Research trends, competition and funding sources – both internationally and in Israel - to strategically drive the organization’s growth process;
Supporting project related administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred;
Development, strategic initiatives or fundraising role for a nonprofit, foundation, campaign organization, government entity or similar organization;
Experience in building strategic partnerships and resource development;
Proven ability to create strategic partnerships that have led to increase revenue and contracts;
Strong analytical skills (financial, planning, operational);
Understanding and networks with relevant stakeholders in Israel and abroad, including think-tanks, foundations, government ministries, nonprofits, universities and others;
Demonstrated success track-record in a similar role and tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing partnerships over time;
Strong relationship building skills and an entrepreneurial approach that leverages further opportunities;
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and excellent relationship building skills;
Extreme attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously;
Professional proficiency in English and Hebrew;
German and other languages – a plus;

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Part-time engagement (60%) with the possibility of expansion to full time in the future.
