Interested in making an impact by working with international researchers and helping to internationalize Israel’s public sector? The Israel Public Policy Institute (IPPI) is looking to hire a project manager to support the institute’s work in its Tel Aviv office. The position offers potential for rapid professional growth in different directions, depending on the candidate’s prior qualifications and areas of interest.

Starting date: July 1 or August 1, 2018

APPLICANT DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for entrepreneurial self-starters with a passion for public policy who know how to get things done. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, extreme attention to detail, and outstanding writing and editing skills in both English (native or equivalent) and Hebrew. Applicants should be able to jump in and complete any task quickly and effectively. You should be a jack of all trades and have a diverse skill set. We expect a great attitude, desire to learn and meet new people, lots of energy and enthusiasm. You should be willing to take on any project, large or small and see it through. The perfect candidate is driven by challenging, fast-moving environments with many stakeholders and a lot of "juggling between tasks" involved.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Interest in public policy and governmental work
- Program management experience
- Advanced skill set in research and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong academic background (Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience);
- Outstanding editing and writing skills in Hebrew and English (prior experience in editing, copyediting and proofreading is an asset);
- Extreme attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle several tasks independently and in parallel;
- English – native speaker level, fluent in Hebrew (preferably native speaker), German and other languages – a plus!
- Fundraising experience – a plus!
- Communications & marketing experience – a plus!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- 6-month full-time engagement, with the possibility of extension
- Coordinating the institute’s international Fellowship programs and partnerships with a range of stakeholders
- Conceptualizing new programs and cooperation projects with relevant organizations
- Drafting research papers
- Developing and executing new partnerships and programs
- Fundraising, writing grant proposals and sponsorship development and liaising with potential supporters
- Designing social media and marketing activities
- Executing various projects - big and small - with different stakeholders
- Supervising a team of interns
- Supporting project related administration.
